NATIONAL ANTHEMS ONLINE
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS & LINKS
When these arrangements were first prepared, I consulted two main reference books, National Anthems by Paul Nettl
(Storm Publishers, New York 1952) and National Anthems of the World, edited by Martin Shaw,
Henry Coleman and T M Cartledge (Blandford Press, London 1969). More recent sources have included
the World Wide Web and there are several excellent websites where you can obtain further information.

I would like to acknowledge the invaluable assistance given
by the agencies shown below and particularly the anonymous official at one of the European embassies in London, who clarified some points of
style in his country's anthem by singing it, with considerable fervour, over the telephone.
