excellent www.nationalanthems.info which is an
up-to-date and scholarly study of a great many national anthems of the world.
As a source of fascinating information, I would recommend giving it a visit.
The site contains music, lyrics and downloadable audio files.
I would like to acknowledge the invaluable assistance given by the agencies
shown below and particularly the anonymous official at one of the European
embassies in London, who clarified some points of style in his country's anthem
by singing it, with considerable fervour, over the
